Saturday, June 4 – 8pm – Chris Merenda and Billy Keane

The boys. Playing together. It makes us all so happy.

Come to Mission Saturday, June 4th to catch Chris Merenda of Chris Merenda and the Wheel and Billy Keane, of Billy Keane and the Misdemeanor Outlaws in the Window, starting at 8pm.

Inspired by the likes of Tom Waits, J Mascis, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, The Clash, John Lennon and Bob Marley, Merenda has songs to suit any occasion. With a banjo, guitar and a diverse group of musicians on hand to accompany him, Merenda is never predictable and always ready to put on a show.

“Merenda’s knowledge of how to write effective hooks, and his play on simple Words – turning them into genius phrases – are his refreshing contributions to The music world.” -The Portsmouth Herald

Born in Australia, raised in Connecticut, jaded in Brooklyn, schooled in Seattle and weathered in Louisiana, Billy Keane came to Pittsfield, Massachusetts in the summer of 2009 to record his debut solo album, The Pine Street Sessions. Throughout the course of that year, writing, recording, and performing almost weekly, Billy credits his inspiration to the overflow of friendship, artistry and support that greeted him so suddenly and tenaciously the moment he stumbled upon his new Berkshires home. He writes with honesty and experience, he performs with raw, naked emotion. To see him is perhaps to see you. You may just find yourself hidden somewhere in his lyrics or melodies, in a story or in a word, smiling or teary-eyed. Somewhere you may not have expected to be. But as you watch, and listen, you’ll know that at least you won’t be there alone.

See you Saturday, you won’t want to miss this!
